Our Meetup with [b] in the city!

I just RSVP'd for a class today with [b]!! Becker is a photographer in southern califormia that my favorite photographer, Jasmine Star idolizes. I was shocked to find out via my Meetup newsletter that he would be in town in a few weeks to speak in SF! I couldn't be more thrilled! I got a spot on the attendee list capped at 100 guests and got my friend Krista on it too! We are heading out together on the 12th to get our learn on! I'm so excited!

Hosted by SMUG Leader Gene Higa, this month's SF SMUG is special and
he invites everyone from Silicon Valley SMUG to attend, as well!

Scrapmap & South America

I received an email today from my old fabulous online teacher Karen Russell. She sent it out to her students that took her photography workshop and it entailed an invitation to travel with her and Jim West, another amazing photographer to South America! It’s a trip for 20 attendees to work with amazing photographers and capture some of the greatest places in the world. I really wish I had the $$ to go, but maybe in the future I can get such an amazing opportunity such as this! Love her!

This opportunity was given through Scrapmap. Here is the site with the information:

I got on the list!

I got admitted into Karen Russell's online photography class! I'm thrilled and can't wait to start the 8 week online class with her! Leave it to my hubby to "get the hookup." He emailed her directly and said he wanted to get it as a Christmas gift for me! With Karen being a sap for love, she shot him the details and hooked it up! I start in March. Can't wait!

Photo Class - Brushing Up

Today was my first photo class in Los Gatos. It was quite a treck up into the hills to get where we needed to go. There were a few pretty nice views, but only one can take so many pictures of trees and rocks. I got a few practice shots with my newfound knowledge from the class.

Pascale Wowak Workshop

My scrappy friend (scrapbooker extrodinaire) Krista just told me about a photographers workshop that she's going to and asked if I would be interested in going with her. Of course, I said YES YES YES!!! It's a one day class up in the Los Gatos hills learning all the basics of photography and the use of our cameras. Pascale Wowak is teaching the course and I can't wait.
